Community Guidelines

xNotify exists so people can have real conversations. These guidelines keep the platform safe and usable for everyone. They apply to all content: posts, replies, DMs, communities, Live Spaces, and profiles.

Zero Tolerance

These result in immediate permanent ban with no appeal:

Child safety Instant ban

Any content that sexually exploits or endangers minors. Reported to NCMEC and law enforcement.

Terrorism & violent extremism Instant ban

Content that promotes, glorifies, or recruits for terrorist organizations or violent extremist movements.

Non-consensual intimate media Instant ban

Sharing sexual or intimate images of someone without their consent, including deepfakes.

Prohibited Content

Harassment & bullying Warning → Ban

Targeted harassment, pile-ons, doxxing (sharing private info), or sustained campaigns against individuals. Criticism of public figures' work is fine — personal attacks are not.

Hate speech Warning → Ban

Content that promotes violence or hatred against people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.

Threats of violence Instant ban

Direct or indirect threats of physical harm to any individual or group.

Spam & manipulation Content removed

Automated spam, engagement bait, coordinated inauthentic behavior, and bot networks. Use the API for automation — don't scrape or fake engagement.

Scams & fraud Instant ban

Phishing, financial scams, fake giveaways, impersonation for fraud, and deceptive schemes.

Misinformation Content removed

Demonstrably false claims that pose a direct risk to public health or safety (e.g., fake emergency alerts, dangerous medical advice). We don't police opinions — we address verifiable harm.

Content Policies

NSFW content

Adult content is allowed only in communities marked 18+. It must be behind content warnings. NSFW content in the main feed or unmarked communities will be removed.

Copyright

Don't post content you don't have the right to share. We respond to valid DMCA takedown requests. Repeat infringers get banned.

Impersonation

Parody and fan accounts are fine if clearly labeled. Pretending to be another person or organization to deceive is not.

How We Moderate

Human moderators — real people review reports, not just automated systems.
Transparent logs — community moderators can publish their moderation actions.
Appeals — you can appeal any moderation action within 30 days. Appeals are reviewed by a different moderator.
No shadow banning — if we reduce your reach, we tell you why.

Reporting

See something that violates these guidelines? Use the report button on any post, profile, or message. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. For urgent safety issues, email safety@xnotify.io.
